This stick has a very special meaning to me as it has many
people I meet at craft Shows. It touches all our lives in different ways,
and never fails that tears and hugs are shared.

It was
created by my Mom who is a two time survivor. With the help of others
going through the same thing at the hospital, a healing and functional piece of art came
about.

Stick
#1 was shipped to Rosie O'Donnell. I did this with the belief
that she might bring National Attention to it and possibly auction it off on
Ebay. I received a post card from her acknowledging that she
received it. If anyone knows how to contact her please let me
know.
My
Mother is a walking miracle. After being a two time survivor,
lung cancer surgery, and a recent double bypass on her heart, I
am blessed to still have her here in my life.
If you feel the need to drop her an e
mail to brighten her day and share something with her, I am sure
she would love it.

is a Survivor!

They sell for $125, and can be custom made for any
individual. $25 of the sale is donated to help fund research as well. I
thought it was very moving that a man asked about making one for
himself in memory of his wife. Another breathtaking moment I had was when I
could not decide if I should bring this stick to a show and talk about it. I
was walking by the stick, glanced at it and saw the word MOTHER,
knowing full well I didn't put the word Mother on it.
I immediately turned the stick a few times to see what word surrounded
it. Chills filled my
soul, the word was cheMOTHERapy.
These are some spiritual
things that are on stick #2. I have woodburned
words that come on the survivor stick.
strength,
understanding, recovery, victory, invigorate,
vitality,
openness, rest

I
created this stick for a womyn who
believes in carrots, healing thyself, walks 2 miles a day, is very spiritual and
a great mom. Her
son Steve gave me a few ideas of things she enjoys and I created the
stick above.
My goal is to touch as many people as possible through my
sticks and donate a few here and there to help raise awareness and money for
research.

Many sticks
have been appearing at Breast Cancer Walks. They help you get a longer stride,
stand up straighter and you have longer stamina to go even farther. Let me
create a personal one for you.

Ya
Ya's, is what they call themselves. Secretly they gathered info along with her
husband to create a very special walking stick for Isabel. She came to The
Cotton Pickin Fair in Gay Ga Oct. of 2004 and found her stick hanging in my
booth. It worked out so perfectly. She said "Never in my wildest dreams did
I think I was going to get such a beautiful and magnificent surprise. This is
the best gift that anyone could have given me." Thanks for being part of my
life Paula, Leila, Maggie, Wayne and Isabel.

Another
moving story
I
recently made a stick for a woman making a transition from this life. She received a stick while at home with Hospice by her side. She
was able to hold it and smile a little to see what was created in honor of her.
She lost her battle with Breast Cancer but her memory lives on through
the
stick for it is spending time in each household reminding her family of how
special she really was.
I
love what I do, let me touch your life as well.
